Respawn Won’t Ban Early “Legit Copies” of Titanfall, Service May Be Interrupted

Developer Respawn Entertainment won’t ban users who are playing Titanfall early with “legit copies”.

CEO Vince Zampella gave the news on Twitter, stating, “we won’t stop or ban legit copies”. He did add, however, “It is prelaunch, so there may be interruptions in service as we prep servers.”

Titanfall is mere days away from its March 11 launch on the Xbox One and PC, but already users are suiting up and waging war Titan style online. Case-in-point, Reddit user “Soccadude123” posted this image earlier today with the caption, “Look what I got!” (Potato cam quality.)

Users currently playing may have already noticed a day-one patch.

In the same Twitter thread, Zampella also addressed the situation in South Africa, where gamers recently learned Titanfall would not ship in their region due to poor network performance. According to him, the studio “will look further into it after launch”.

Titanfall officially launches on the Xbox One and PC March 11 and on the Xbox 360 March 25. Of course, it has launched already for some.
