Rocket League Nintendo Switch Release Date Is November 14

Rocket League, the acrobatic battle cars that play soccer, is coming to the Nintendo Switch on November 14, and yes, it supports cross-play!

Rocket League will cost you a cool $19.99 USD or the regional equivalent and be available to download on the eShop(no news on whether a physical retail copy will be available). The Switch version will come with ALL modes and content, including some exclusive battle-cars like the Mario NSR and the Samus’ Gunship. You’ll also be able to play against Xbox One and PC players in cross play.

For those of you who are purchasing Rocket League for a second or third time, you’ll also be happy to know that Pysonix is in discussion to bring cross-platform parties, and progression being shared so you don’t have to start from scratch every time as Pysonix_Corey states on ResetEra.

Can’t, sorry.

Purchase transferring are pretty much a never, not because of our preferences, but in general platform holders don’t like for things to be purchasable outside of their ecosystem and then brought inside.

Progress being shared is a possibility we are going to look into alongside the Cross-Platform Friends and Party stuff we’ve been discussing. Not sure offhand what the restrictions are though.

If you want to see some gameplay, check out the video below, which also has a neat studio tour of Psyonix.
