Fans of the upcoming biopunk survival horror game Scorn have just been treated to a new eight-minute gameplay video!

The video showcases a walkthrough of Scorn’s prologue section, and features the game’s puzzle mechanics and gory, grisly visuals in exquisite detail.

Scorn pitches itself as an intensely environmental, hands-on narrative experience, and it’s immediately visible here. The gameplay video has no exposition, and the player’s interface to the world of the game is their character’s hands. Interacting with the game’s objects can lead to sudden shifts in the environment, giving players immediate feedback without any use of dialogue.

The video also shows off Scorn’s unique weapon system, where weapons attach to a modular base implanted in the player character’s arm. Particularly fascinating is the Hidden Blade-esque key attached to the player character’s left arm. The key hooks up to left arm slots in implements, letting players interact with puzzles, doors, and even elevators.

Scorn comes out October 21 for PC and Xbox Series X|S (as a day one Xbox Game Pass release). Players can now pre-order both the Standard and Deluxe Edition of the game.
