The announcement was made alongside a new teaser trailer:
Scorn’s development has been progressing exceptionally well. A new gameplay video was released just last week, showcasing a walkthrough of Scorn’s prologue section. Players will now be able to play the game even earlier than previously announced, which essentially confirms that the game is a finished, polished experience at this point.
Scorn has a refreshing take on the survival horror genre. Rooted in a particularly gory variation of the steampunk aesthetic, Scorn pitches itself as an intensely environmental, hands-on experience. The game does away with traditional exposition for the most part, instead choosing to tell its story through manual manipulation of the in-game environment.
Scorn comes out October 21 for PC and Xbox Series X|S (as a day one Xbox Game Pass release). Players can now pre-order both the Standard and Deluxe Editions.
