Gamers with a competitive spirit can look forward to the first season of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare‘s eSports-focused mode, Ranked Play, begining on the 9th of this month, according to a recent announcement from developer Sledgehammer Games.

The mode, featuring rules and regulations that differ slightly from the main game, will have players earning (or losing) points to rank up (or be demoted) through six different divisions, each offering their own exclusive set of rewards. Matches are made up of 4v4 game modes like Search & Destroy, Capture the Flag, Uplink, and Hardpoint with Advanced Warfare’s eSports settings enabled.

The six division are made up of Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Master, while the top 100 scoring members of the Master division will be awarded the status of Grand Master. Players will have until January 31 place in a division before the season ends. To reach the next division up during the season, players will need to accumulate 100 division points; 15-25 are earned for each victory while 10-20 are lost per defeat. Upon reaching 100 division points, players will compete in a best-of-three Division Promotion Challenge to place.
