Slitterhead to Be Shown Off in 2024

Slitterhead 2024

Revealed over two years ago, Bokeh Game Studio, which is led by one of the creators of Silent Hill, has announced that we’ll finally be seeing Slitterhead sometime next year.

Speaking in 4Gamer’s annual year-end developer interview, Bokeh Game Studio’s founder, Keiichiro Toyama has revealed that horror fans can expect to see Splitterhead sometime during 2024.

“2024 will be a decisive year in which our studio’s first title Slitterhead will really begin being shown. Given that it will significantly influence our future, it will be an important year, so I would like to face it with enthusiasm.”

The last we heard about the project was back in 2021 when Toyma offered bits about Slitterhead’s gameplay and what players could expect.

“I can’t go into a lot of details yet, but I can tell you that this will be an action-oriented adventure game from a third-person perspective. However, the game will include many new mechanics that have not been seen so far in other games, so I think it will result in a unique experience.”

The game will have you battling mysterious creatures that can mimic humans, but how can you smoke them out to make them reveal themselves? This will form a major pillar of the adventure and the story. The creatures are named Yakushi, a kind of monster that have their roots in classical theater.”

The team has been working hard on the title since, with them going into full production back in 2022. Based on Toyma’s statement, it sounds like they’ll finally be ready to show it off real soon, and hopefully, a release date isn’t that far away.
