Spartan Locke, the mysterious protagonist of the Halo: Nightfall digital series and a pivotal character in the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians, confronts the iconic Master Chief in a new live-action trailer released by Microsoft and 343 Industries.
It leaves more questions than answers, that’s for sure, but it looks like Locke is at the conclusion of his hunt for the legendary Spartan as he meets face to face with John 117, Master Chief, amidst a pile of flame and rubble. But what are his intentions?
What the trailer does tell us is the game’s official release date of October 27, 2015. Also, according to Microsoft Xbox Marketing Lead Aaron Greenberg, this trailer is only one of two launching this evening, so stay tuned for more.
