Last week, Square Enix accidentally leaked Star Ocean The Second Story remake but quickly took down the logo they posted. However, today, the company has officially announced the remake titled Star Ocean The Second Story R with a new trailer.

Star Ocean The Second Story first launched in 1998, and was the second installment to the critically acclaimed Star Ocean franchise. Since then, there have been multiple Star Ocean games including last year’s Star Ocean: The Divine Force.

Star Ocean The Second Story R is set to launch on November 2, 2023, for Nintendo Switch and PS5. An Xbox or PC release for the upcoming title has not been announced.
