Star Wars Battlefront II End of Match Rewards to Be Changed Confirmed

During DICE’s Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session earlier today about Star Wars Battlefront II, DICE employees sat down and answered as many questions as they can about the game. One of the things asked was the end-of-match rewards in Battlefront II.

If you’ve played the game, you might have noticed that players are given rewards at the end of every match. That alone isn’t really news, since every game does that. However, what is news is how random everything is. It doesn’t seem like your rewards are commensurate to how well you’ve played and so on.

Over on Reddit, John Wasilczyk , Executive Producer at DICE, confirmed to gamers that DICE is adjusting the rewards given at the end of every match.

Here’s what DICE said about it in case the Reddit embed didn’t load.

Regarding the second part of this question: We’re constantly looking at the rate that players are unlocking Crates and Star Cards and will continue adjusting values to make sure that players are able to progress towards their goals without it feeling like a grind. We’re also going to be adjusting end of match rewards as we revisit the system to reward people differently based on the way they play.

This is a step in the right direction. Let’s hope DICE can turn things around so we can play the Star Wars game we wanted, not what publisher EA wished the public wanted.

Stay tuned for more Battlefront II news snippets from the AMA, as we’re reading through them to make sure nothing important slips the cracks.
