Starfield Subreddit Goes Into Meltdown as Todd Howard Pops in to Leave a Message

Just as the doors were about to be open for Starfield early access players, Todd Howard, the mind behind the title decided to drop on the game’s subreddit.

This kind of a thing is completely unprecedented so no one was expecting it. As soon as the message dropped, everyone  freaked out from excitement. It just goes to show how enthusiastic people are to play the game and how big of personality Todd Howard is. The message coming from him personally and him acknowledging the fans’ anticipation is truly a special experience for a lot of people who are looking to play Starfield.

The post so far has amassed over 34K upvotes and has received the most awards of any post on the game’s subreddit. In the message, Todd Howard thanks the fans for their continued support, passion and excitement, and proceeds to say that he cannot wait for the players to get their hands on the game.

“Hey everyone! Long time lurker here. A quick THANK YOU for your passion and excitement for Starfield. I can remember when this sub started, and as it’s grown, your excitement has fueled all of us at Bethesda. We like to say we have gaming’s smartest fans, and you certainly are. Starfield has been a labor of love for us and the fact that all of you care enough to build a community around it means the world to us. We can’t wait for you to play.”

The game seems to be living up to the expectations, and a lot of people are currently enjoying it as it is now available for premium edition players. Regular and gamepass users will have to wait though as the game officially launches on September 6, 2023 for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
