Looks like Steam users and PC players have a new kind of event to look forward to in the middle of this year, as the Steam Game Festival renames itself as Steam Next Fest — which will be taking place from June 16 to 22.

Here’s the announcement from the official Steam website.

Announcing Steam Next Fest, a multi-day celebration of upcoming games. Explore and play hundreds of game demos, watch developer livestreams, and chat with the teams about their games in progress, coming soon to Steam.

While no other details or specifics were named for the celebration to come, if Next Fest is anything like its predecessor Steam Game Festival — then expect a lot of heavy duty announcements, exclusives, and deals to be featured during the six day celebration. There will be demos announced and interesting discussions with the developers and creators of your favorite games.
