Stellar Blade has proven to be a strong success, and action game fans have clearly enjoyed Eve and her combat skills. For now, however, only PlayStation 5 and PC players have been able to experience her abilities firsthand.

Xbox and Nintendo players may be pleased to learn that the developer, Shift Up, is considering bringing the game to additional platforms. At the same time, the team is preparing to share updates about the next entry in the series.

In its recent financial report, Shift Up stated, “Stellar Blade has established itself as a steady, long-tail IP, supported by sustained sales momentum and strong user reception since launch.”

The company also spoke about the development of the sequel, adding, “Building on this foundation, development of the next project is progressing in a structured manner, and we are reviewing plans to share additional details on the follow-up project within the year.”

Finally, the team addressed the possibility of expanding to new platforms, stating, “In parallel, we are reviewingplatform expansion beyond PS5 and PC to broaden audience reach. This approach is expected to both introduce the title to new players and gradually build anticipation for the next chapter in the series.”

The team concluded by saying, “We expect 2026 to be a year in which more users experience the existing title while momentum and anticipation builds toward the next phase of the franchise.”

It’s also worth noting that recent job listings on Shift Up’s official recruitment page suggest the sequel is aiming for release on multiple platforms, including consoles and PC.

In other news, Shift Up’s director previously admitted that the story in the original Stellar Blade is lacking and explained that production costs forced the team to cut back on cutscenes and narrative details that had been planned for the initial release.
