Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Has Another Returning Batman Villain
Yet another member of Batman’s infamous rogue galleries is returning in Rocksteady Studios’ upcoming game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launch is a few short weeks away, and while Rocksteady is gearing up for release, it seems they’ve let several press members get a bit of hands-on with it before launch. As such, some new information has begun surfacing, with the latest issue of Play Magazine (Feb. 2024 issue) detailing some new things. One of those is the confirmation of a returning Arkhamverse character who likes to ask many questions in the form of riddles. That’s right; the Riddler will be back for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, joining alongside other returning Arkham characters such as the Penguin, Harley Quinn, and, to some degree, Poison Ivy.
This was revealed by Rocksteady’s studio product director, Darius Sadeghian, in the latest issue of Play Magazine.
“We also couldn’t resist bringing The Riddler back for a new set of challenges that will test our Squad members’ minds and bodies,” says Sadeghian. So don’t expect simply to scoop up trophies – it sounds like you’ll need to impress Mr Nigma with your skills.”
I can’t say I’m surprised by this news, as many already assumed he would be in the game. After all, he was prominently featured throughout the Batman Arkham games, though mostly from behind comms and collectibles.
It will be interesting to see how Rocksteady has changed his challenges to accommodate Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League new gameplay. Luckily, we won’t have to long to wait to find out, as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is out February 2, with early access for Deluxe Editions going live January 30.
