The Division 2 Down on May 12 for Emergency Maintenance After Patch Y8S1.2’s Deployment
Earlier today (like, in the wee hours of the morning), Ubisoft pulled The Division 2 servers down in order to release the Y8S1.2 patch. While the servers have been brought back up, gamers might be seeing an error appear again, and it’s not just you.
The developers have triggered an emergency maintenance just now, and it will last for a few hours.
This means that all facets of The Division 2 cannot be accessed for the time being on either consoles or PC.
The Division 2 Emergecny Maintenance Triggered on Servers for May 12
Per Ubisoft, “To improve stability and reduce crashes, we’ll be taking the servers down for an unscheduled maintenance today, at 6:00 PM CEST, 12:00 PM EDT, 9:00 AM PDT.”
The expected downtime is 3.5 hours, though that might change. If any update is given regarding the server status, we’ll update the article with the info.
As for today’s update, it introduces a new vendor and more. Here’s a rundown of the new vendor.
Escalation Requisition Vendor
This update brings a new vendor to the game: the Escalation Requisition Vendor. Here, you can exchange Escalation Tokens for Prototype Gear rewards. You can find it in the Base of Operations, next to the Escalation panel.
The Escalation Requisition Vendor offers three different types of caches:
Prototype Random Cache
- This cache is always available for sale.
- Opening this cache rewards one Prototype item of any type.
Prototype Gear Cache
- This cache is part of a daily rotation.
- Every day, it features a different equipment type in Prototype quality.
- Opening this cache rewards one Prototype item of that specific type.
- Items obtained from this cache have a higher chance of getting better rolls.
Prototype Weapon Cache
- This cache is also part of a daily rotation.
- Every day, it features a different weapon type in Prototype quality.
- Opening this cache rewards one Prototype weapon of that specific type.
- Items obtained from this cache have a higher chance of getting better rolls.
Note: There is no limit for how many caches you can buy from the Escalation Requisition Vendor, and this feature is available to Level 40 Agents.
