The Sims 5 Leak Shows Off Furniture Customization, Character Models, and Map Overview

the sims 5 leak

A new The Sims 5 leak was recently shared on Reddit showing off several minutes of gameplay from the game’s playtest build. The footage shows off furniture customization, menus, and the small map that the test version contains, as well as some in-progress character models.

The leak included several minutes of footage from an emulated version of the Android playtest build. This gameplay clip shows off the games social menus, its brief tutorial, some in-depth furniture customization and placement, and a short flyover of the build’s play area:

The post also showed off a few incomplete character models included in the playtest’s files. These models are missing eyeballs and have some messed up textures, but obviously they’re not final. The poster also confirmed that this build originated more than a year ago, meaning that all of the content being shown off is outdated at this point.

Project Rene (Sims 5) Sim Models (Subject to change)

While it’s still a very, very early look at the game, it looks like The Sims 5 is really aiming to take the experience to the next level. Being able to play with friends as well as place objects with a much finer control over positioning is sure to evolve the classic life-sim gameplay substantially.

The Sims 5, also known as “Project Rene,” was originally announced back in 2022, and the devs have since confirmed that the game is still at least a couple of years out. We’re looking forward to getting our hands on it whenever it does finally become playable for the masses.
