Watch_Dogs, the highly anticipated new IP from Ubisoft, is going to be released on multiple platforms, both current and new, but the next-generation consoles will feature a more dynamic city, according to developers.

Speaking with NowGamer, Dominic Guay, a producer for Watch_Dogs, has revealed that even though it will take awhile for the team to utilize the full power of PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, The Watch_Dogs on next-gen consoles will feature some interesting advantages, which Guay describes as “dynamism.” He described further:

“For example, we’re able to simulate the water in full 3D, if you go on a boat the waves that form will affect other boats. We’re also able to spend more time giving brains to the other people on the streets so that they can basically be smarter, and there can be more of them. It’s what I call dynamism; basically, the way the city reacts to you, we are able to push further on the Xbox One.”

Although Guay doesn’t clearly reveal how the Watch_Dogs team will be featuring a more dynamic city on the next-generation platforms, it may have something to do with both consoles using cloud computing system.

Watch_Dogs is set to be released sometime this year for current-generation and next-generation platforms, though an official release date has yet to be announced.
