Additional Gameplay Information:
The new FAQ details a host of new gameplay and functionality information, the highlights of which are listed below:
- The PS4 physical edition of the game can be upgraded at no additional cost to the PS5 digital version.
- The Xbox One physical version is Smart Delivery-supported, and as such gives players access to the Xbox Series X|S version at no additional cost.
- The Xbox digital versions are Xbox Play Anywhere-compatible, meaning purchasing one version gives players access to the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Microsoft Store versions.
- Save data can be migrated across PS4 and PS5 consoles, and is automatically synced to the cloud in the case of the Xbox and Microsoft Store versions.
- Three types of online multiplayer are present:
- Recruitment: Co-op play that supports 3 players
- Co-op: Multiplayer that supports 3 players using the friend system or passwords
- Invade: Invasion of other players’ missions or getting invaded by other players
- Invasions can be turned on or off in the Options menu.
- Crossplay is supported, but ecosystem-limited:
- PS5 and PS4 are grouped together.
- The Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Microsoft Store (including Xbox Game Pass) versions are grouped together.
- The Steam version on PC apparently cannot engage in multiplayer with any other version.
- Characters can be shared using a code, but are limited by the same ecosystem lock-in as crossplay functionality.
- A 1-star version of the 4-star “Crouching Dragon Helmet” DLC (which is obtainable only through completion of the demo) can be unlocked in the full game.
Those interested can read the full FAQ here, which details the specifics of save data migration, the redeeming of the “Crouching Dragon Helmet” DLC in the full game, and more.
