Baldur’s Gate 3 Update 1.007.301 Released for PS5 Pro Support and Here’s What’s New
With Sony’s mid-gen console refresh the PS5 Pro now available starting today, more and more games are getting title updates to take advantage of the new console’s added horsepower. One studio taking part in that is Larian, who has now released Baldur’s Gate 3 update 1.007.301, and this adds in PS5 Pro support, and even a fix as well, which is available to all game owners on the console.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Update 1.007.301 Improves Quality and Performance Modes on PS5 Pro
Per Larian, “To help you get the most out of your PS5 Pro, we’ve tweaked our Quality and Performance modes to achieve crisp console visuals without sacrificing smooth performance. Tinker away in the settings to find the perfect array of pixels for you!”
IMPROVEMENTS
- On PS5 Pro, Quality mode now runs at native 4K (2160p) 30fps.
- On PS5 Pro, Performance mode will upscale from 1440p to 2160p 60fps.
- Split screen on the PS5 Pro will now offer either 30fps or 60fps depending on whether you’re using Quality or Performance mode.
CRASHES AND BLOCKERS
- Fixed an issue on PS5 preventing you from downloading or subscribing to mods when loading into another player’s multiplayer game with mods enabled.
With Patch 7 already available for consoles and PC, the next major update should be the one that adds crossplay. That said, we would love to be proven wrong by Larian Studios.
