Beast of Reincarnation Update 1.007 Released on August 24 to Add New Features
Game Freak has released the latest Beast of Reincarnation update today, August 24, and this adds a slew of quality-of-life features for visuals, gameplay, and more.
Called the version 1.0.9 patch, console gamers will see this download as Beast of Reincarnation update 1.007, and the complete patch notes are available below.
Beast of Reincarnation New Graphical Features Added via August 24 Update
- Added ultra-wide monitor support.
- *Compatible with major ultrawide and super ultrawide monitors. If you encounter any issues while playing on the Ultrawide Monitor, we would appreciate it if you could let us know.
- Implemented frame generation functionality (DLSS/FSR).
- You can configure it from the settings screen.
- Skippable event movies can now be skipped by long-pressing a button.
- For events and movies that are already skippable, a “Skip” display has been added at the bottom right of the screen.
- Some pre-battle scenes can now be skipped.
- *As mentioned in the previous patch notes, the cutscene skip feature is being introduced in phases. Going forward, we will gradually increase the number of skippable events and movies.
- Charms have become available for sale.
- Fixed an issue where upscaling was not available. (Microsoft Store / Xbox PC version)
- *This bug occurred in the previous patch but has been fixed in this update. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you are experiencing ongoing issues with the upscaling options while playing the Xbox PC version, please contact us.
- Adjustments regarding recovery injections have been made.
- Adjusted the healing injection to be instantly usable upon damage.
- The holding time when using recovery injections has been shortened.
- Fixed an issue where strong enemies did not appear in the Fuji Frontline area.
- Fixed an issue where a strong enemy would recover fully in a short time if they lost sight of Emma during battle.
- * If you become undetected by enemies, it is expected that full recovery will occur after a certain period of time.
- “Kabuto Wari” is now available by default.
- * Enhancement within the skill tree is possible.
- The magnitude of controller vibration has been adjusted. (PS5)
- Fixed an issue where Kuu would block your vision.
- The equipment screen now displays a list of active Spirit Stone effects.
- The boss battle in the Giant Wall front terraced rice field area has been changed to an event battle.
- Adjusted the camera effects during boss battles.
- Adjusted the timing for executing the Headline Slash.
- Enemies with shields now deal damage from behind attacks.
- Added controller vibration to Surefire and Assassination.
- In the shop, you can now set the “maximum quantity/reset” when selecting quantity.
- We have made the Kuu-exclusive item icon uniquely designed to recognize it.
- Changed so that attacks from crow-type enemies no longer generate acid damage fields.
- Optimized the performance of boss attack effects.
- Optimized the command processing performance for the Blooming Move.
- Optimized the performance of status effect effects.
- Adjustments have been made to the transparent entry ban judgment within the area.
- * We will continue to make ongoing adjustments going forward.
- Fixed an issue where the landing position would shift during jumping.
- Fixed an issue where text would shrink in some areas.
- Fixed an issue where, when using Ku’s ‘First Aid Medicine’ in certain operations, the number held and the number displayed on screen did not match, causing the L2 button to be repeatedly pressed.
- Fixed an issue where, after Ku’s FP reached max during consecutive enemy attacks, the icon and gauge at the bottom right would blink when parrying repeatedly.
- Fixed an issue where some attacks from the boss were not hitting.
- Fixed an issue where the “Maximum Quantity Setting” button did not respond to items with 99 items in the “Sell” menu of the Wandering Merchant or Brad.
- Fixed an issue where equipping Spirit Stones with the same number of possessed and equipped items to the same slot would cause the Spirit Stones equipped in other slots to come off.
- Fixed an issue where the confirm button could not be pressed on the keyboard on the return results screen. (PC)
- Fixed an issue in the Purification Ship’s departure menu ‘Departing from Map’ where switching areas after removing focus from the game would prevent high-speed travel. (PC)
- Fixed an issue where, immediately after opening the bed menu, clicking “Record” or “Special Content” would execute “Rest Until Morning.” (PC)
- Fixed an issue where, on the NEW GAME+ data transfer screen, after confirming with keyboard and mouse, you could move the cursor with the controller, causing progress to become impossible. (PC)
Developer Game Freak has also shared some of the upcoming features and fixes they are planning to roll out in future updates:
- Enables switching between post-process ON/OFF
- Increase in skippable event movies
- Adjustments to Event and Movie Performances
- Balance adjustments for swordsmanship, blooming techniques, etc.
- Adjustment of submersion detection
- Adjustment of transparent entry prohibition determinations within the area
