The Blood of Dawnwalker to Receive Performance Mode Patch on PS5, Xbox Series X Targeting 60FPS on Day One
When Rebel Wolves released the first console footage for The Blood of Dawnwalker, some were worried that the game’s frame rates weren’t up to snuff, even if it was for the PS5 Pro.
The devs have heard your complaints and have promised that the action-RPG will receive a day-one update targeting 60 frames–per-second on the PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X.
This wll be part of the game’s Performance Mode, and the studio also shared details about its performance players can expect on these consoles after applying the day-one update.
The Blood of Dawnwalker 60FPS Patch Promised on Day-One
In a new announcement on X, Rebel Wolves said, “The Blood of #Dawnwalker will receive a Performance Mode targeting 60 FPS on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X on Day 1 through the launch patch.”
Adding to it, the devs said, “Performance Mode was already in the works, but it was still being tested. We simply weren’t ready to promise it yet.” Rebel Wolves continued, “We heard your feedback. It was clear how much this mattered to many of you, so we focused on finishing the next round of tests. Those results gave us the confidence we needed to confirm Performance Mode for Day 1.”
The expected performance of the game once the day-one patch has been applied will be:
PlayStation 5 Pro:
- Performance, targeting 60fps
- Balanced, targeting 40fps
- Quality, targeting 30fps
- PlayStation 5 Pro also provides overall visual enhancements.
PlayStation 5:
- Performance, targeting 60fps
- Balanced, targeting 40fps
- Quality, targeting 30fps
Xbox Series X:
- Performance, targeting 60fps
- Balanced, targeting 40fps
- Quality, targeting 30fps
On Xbox Series S:
- Targeting 30fps
So far, the devs seem to be on the right track for the game, and have even promised free DLC alongside the confirmed premium ones on the way.
The Blood of Dawnwalker will be released on the PS5, Xbox Series and PC on September 3. If the game sells well, expect sequels to it, as Rebel Wolves has already mapped out follow-up releases.
