Dying Light 2 Receives Second Update This Week as Version 1.082/1.82
After yesterday’s launch of the Halloween event for Dying Light 2, Techland has released a follow-up patch for the game today. Console gamers will see the download as Dying Light 2 upate 1.82/1.082 (complete version 1.082.000).
Given yesterday’s event start, don’t expect anything from this patch outside of fixes.
Dying Light 2 New Update on October 31 Released for Version 1.82/1.082
There have been no patch notes released for today’s update, but Techland did make an announcement regarding the Halloween Showdown event.
Techland announced. “We have been blown away by your engagement in the Halloween Showdown! The streets of Villedor are littered with dead Pumpkintiles!” Continuing, “To recognize your commitment to the hunt, we’re adding an extra goal: if both characters reach the threshold of 45 million candies, both charms will be delivered to everyone who participated in the event!”
Not only that, but there was also a technical issues with yesterday’s update, but this is more for PC players.
“Dying Light 2 Technical Notice: Yesterday’s update introduced an issue with save files on the Epic Games platform. Since then we’ve released a hotfix that addresses it. We apologize for the inconvenience,” says Techland.
Adding to it, the devs continued, “Please note: If you are prompted by the Epic Games Launcher to either use ‘upload to cloud’ (from local file) or ‘download to machine’ (from cloud storage), we recommend choosing ‘download to machine’ (from cloud storage). Due to technical reasons, this latest hotfix must also be downloaded on Steam.”
Another game that recently got updated twice this week is ARC Raiders. Embark released the game’s first patch download today, and released a follow-up hours later.
