Per Square Enix, here’s what’s new in today’s patch:

  • Improved overall stability.
  • Fixed graphics preset defaulting to ‘Low’ on first Steam Deck launch. Saved settings now apply on restart.
  • Anti-Aliasing Method defaults to DLSS on supported PCs.
  • Updated DirectStorage DLL.

That’s about it for this patch. In other news about the game, go check out our super short guide on how to change the game’s resolution if you’re having issues doing that.

We also ran an article last year on the five things Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth could have done better, which you’ll want to read.

If you’re still on the fence about the game, go read our review, which speaks quite highly of it. “The expanded story is riveting from start to finish, serving as essentially the Empire Strikes Back of the trilogy.
