Gothic 1 Remake Update 1.000.005 Released on June 10 Unlocks FPS
Following the patch released yesterday for PS5, Alkimia Interactive has released another one for consoles, and this one includes the Xbox Series X|S.
Players will see this download appear as Gothic 1 Remake update 1.000.005, and this brings stability fixes, as well as a way for players to unlock the frame rate.

Gothic 1 Remake FPS Unlock Feature Applied via Version 1.000.005
Per Alkimia, today’s update does the follow: “This patch addresses the following – Stability fixes and improvements for all 4 consoles. And also offers and option to unlock FPS, the FPS unlock feature is a bit experimental and is only recommended to be used on Series X and PS5 Pro for the moment.”
For PC gamers, sit tight! The developers said more info about that platform will be shared soon.
Outside this patch, there are also a handful of bugs that have yet to be resolved, and these include:
- Achievements not popping properly
- Two diggers that keep following players after a certain quest
- Mordreg bug where he’s not where he’s supposed to be.
- Kirgo not fighting the player
- Frame rate drops
- Controls not responding as intended
Also affecting all platforms are issues with lockpicking:
- The developers are monitoring player feedback about lockpicking.
- They note that opinions are mixed and emphasize that lockpicking becomes significantly easier when players invest skill points into it.
