Marathon Down on May 5 to Apply Update 1.0.6.3

It’s another week, and another maintenance downtime is triggered for Bungie’s extraction shooter, Marathon. For May 5, players will see update 1.0.6.3 available for download on all platforms.

For those having issues connecting to the game’s servers, don’t fret, as this is all part of planned maintenance for Marathon.

Update: The patch notes for today’s update are live!

Tuesday, May 5, 2026 — Update 1.0.6.3

5:00 AM PDT	UTC-7	Marathon will undergo maintenance. Sign-on will be unavailable. Players actively in runs will be able to complete them.
5:30AM PDT	UTC-7	Marathon will begin being brought offline for expected maintenance. Players will start being removed from activities.
7:00 AM PDT	UTC-7	The latest Marathon update is expected to become available across all platforms and regions.
8:00 AM PDT	UTC-7	Players are expected to be able to log back into Marathon. Players logging into the game may be placed in a queue and may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance is still ongoing.
9:00 AM PDT	UTC-7	Marathon maintenance is expected to conclude. Console players who encounter issues updating should restart their console and try downloading the update. Players who observe issues should report to the Marathon Help Forum.

While Bungie has a set downtime schedule, these things sometimes don’t go according to plan. If the maintenance is extended, we’ll let our readers know.
