Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1.021.020 Out, Addressing Minor Issues

Capcom has released Monster Hunter Wilds update 1.021.020 on all platforms, but don’t expect anything major from it as it’s a pretty small update addressing some recently reported issues.

This is the second hotfix after the major update last week that introduced new Tempered monsters, new items, balance adjustments and more.

For the complete details on what got fixed, head on below.

Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1.021.020 Patch Notes for Today, August 18

Per Capcom, here’s what’s been addressed in this update:

  • The invulnerability window upon successfully performing an Iai Spirit Slash with the Long Sword is reduced when used against monster attacks that have long hitbox durations.
  • When the Item Bar Display option is set to Type 1, if you select an item using the Item Bar while in Aim/Focus Mode and then release Aim/Focus Mode, the selected item will revert to an empty slot.

As I said, this is a pretty small update, which shouldn’t be a surprise considering we did get a major weapon balancing update just last week. Don’t expect another major one until the end of September, as that’s when Title Update #3 is due. However, we should see some more smaller ones, as Capcom has also updated their list of known issues that they are trying to get resolved, which you can view below.

  • The text for the Cosmetic DLC Pass is not displayed correctly in the Claim Content menu at the Support Desk. (PS5 only)
  • If adjustments have been made to the Keyboard Configuration settings before the update, keys assigned to Ascend and Descend for Underwater Controls may have duplicate control binds. (Steam only)
*To avoid this issue, open the Keyboard Configuration settings and reassign the key that shares a control assignment with Ascend/Descend.
  • A finisher cannot be carried out after Gunlance’s Focus Strike on some occasions.
  • An issue where performing certain steps will cause the layered weapons for primary and secondary weapons to switch

That’s, until next time, Hunters!
