Nioh 3 Update 1.030.040 Released for Minor Fixes via Version 1.03.04

A new minor update has been released for Nioh 3 on February 27, and this continues Team Ninja’s post-release support of the action game.

Called the version 1.03.04 patch, which is what players will see on the title screen after applying the game update, PS5 gamers will see this download as Nioh 3 update 1.030.040.

Nioh 3 Receives New Update Fixes Martial Art Deflect Bug

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a bug that caused the hit timing of the Martial Art Deflect to be shorter for the Samurai weapons dual swords and cestuses than for other weapons.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the maximum Level Enhancement upon acquiring Soul Cores from updating, which would sometimes prevent the player from acquiring trophies/achievements.
  • Made other minor fixes.

That’s about it. It’s not as big as the last update released earlier this week that made the first boss fight a lot easier.

For reference, that patch also included gameplay-related adjustments such as:

  • Made it possible to set equipment from different Styles in Equipment Appearance.
  • Added an Acolyte (Benevolent Grave) who can be called upon without using Ochoko Cups in the mission Escape from Hitokoto Slope.
  • Increased the effects of the Sanada Crest Protection “Ki Consumption (Jump).”
  • Increased the effects of the Otani Crest Protection “Decreased Elemental Damage Taken.”
  • Decreased the effects of the Kato Crest Protection “Damage Taken (While Attacking).”
  • Increased the effects of the Kato Crest Protection “Damage Taken (Critical).”
  • Decreased the effects of the Shibata Crest Protection “Melee Damage.”
  • Increased the effects of the Fukushima Crest Protection “Bare-Handed Attack Damage.”
  • Increased the effects of the Akechi Crest Protection “Bullseye Bonus.”
  • Increased the effects of the Nanbu Crest Protection “Melee Damage (Unscathed).”
  • Increased the effects of the Nanbu Crest Protection “Life Drain (Bullseye).”
  • Increased the effects of the Amago Crest Protection “Damage Taken in Midair.”
  • Increased the effects of the Kajiwara Crest Protection “Untouched Summoning Seals.”
  • Increased the effects of the Matsudaira Crest Protection “Glory Obtained.”
  • Decreased the effects of the Matsudaira Crest Protection “High Attack Damage.”
  • Increased the effects of the Nabeshima Crest Protection “Projectile Ki Damage.”
  • Increased the effects of the Tokugawa Crest Protection “Protection from Death (Non-Critical).”
  • Increased the effects of the Shinsengumi Crest Protection “A Warrior’s Honor.”
  • Decreased the increase to damage dealt by melee damage with the Shinsengumi Crest Protection “A Warrior’s Honor.”
  • Increased the effects of Frost Moon Damage as a set bonus.
  • Increased the effects of Life for the Samurai Style Guardian Spirit Kongojishi.
  • Increased the effects of Guard Ki Consumption (Critical) for the Samurai Style Guardian Spirit Kongojishi.
  • Decreased the effects of Damage Taken (While Attacking) for the Samurai Style Guardian Spirit Kongojishi.
  • Decreased the effects of Damage Taken (While Attacking) from Gozuki Soul Cores.
  • Decreased the effects of Damage Taken (While Attacking) from Sentry Soul Cores.
  • Decreased the effects of Damage Taken (While Attacking) from Onryoki Soul Cores.
  • Increased the effects of Strong Attack Damage from Gozuki Soul Cores.
  • Increased the effects of Strong Attack Damage from Sentry Soul Cores.
  • Increased the effects of Spirit Force Bonus (Damage Taken) from Onryoki Soul Cores.
  • Increased the effects of Increased Damage Taken on Enemy (Ranged Weapon Hit) from Flying Bolt Soul Cores.
  • Increased the amount of Glory that can be acquired by lower ranking players in clan battles.
  • Increased the amount of Glory that can be acquired via Expeditions, visitor summons, Bloody Graves, and Benevolent Graves.
  • Made changes to prioritize Ki Pulse and Stance Change when these techniques were performed at the same time as Interact.
  • Made changes to display Soul Cores of the same type or same rarity by level.
  • Added Set Bonus to the Special Effect 1 and Special Effect 2 item filters.
  • Shortened the amount of time before the Change Your Appearance menu becomes available in the Eternal Rift.

Not only that, but there were bug fixes and even platform-specific tweaks as well, which are detailed in the complete patch notes.
