Phasmophobia Hotfix 1.000.039 Released to Fix Event Map Issues
Kinetic Games is back with another hotfix for Phasmophobia this May 19, and this one sorts out issues tied to event maps. Console gamers will see this download as Phasmophobia update 1.00.039, and this brings the game version to v0.17.1.3 on all platforms.
Expect this to be a small download on consoles and PC, and this doesn’t resolve all the issues Kinetic has mentioned that are being worked on before.
Phasmophobia’s New Update on May 19 Resolves Crashing Issues From Event Maps
Per Kinetic, here’s what got fixed:
Fixes
- Fixed an issue that was causing a crash for players loading in to event maps.
We are still expecting a beefier patch to be deployed soon, which will tackle the following issues:
- Players can become locked when interacting with the Truck’s CCTV screen while using a Spirit Box.
- Visual issues may be experienced using the Angel Lamp while holding an EMF Reader.
- Page dropping audio may be heard while solving Nursery Rhyme riddles in Multiplayer.
- Photos taken with the Tier 1 Photo Camera by a player may appear incorrect in another player’s Journal.
- A slight delay in the EMF Reader animation, but no effect on gameplay (console only).
- Slight visual issues with various equipment animations.
- Slight visual issues with host’s ID Card if another player leaves a lobby.
- Tier 1 Spirit Box may become invisible on Oh Deer Diner if held while interacting with the Truck’s CCTV.
- If a player moves a door, other player’s will not hear the audio.
Once another update is out, expect it here on MP1st. However, don’t expect any new content for a while, seeing as we just received the Alan Wake crossover patch just last week.
