Resident Evil Village Minor Update 1.15/1.230 Released in February 2026
Capcom has released a surprise update for Resident Evil Village on all platforms, and this is an unannounced title update, so don’t expect anything major from it.
Console gamers will see this download appear as Resident Evil Village update 1.15/1.230 (complete version 1.230.000), and, like the Resident Evil 4 remake patch released today, this doesn’t include any new gameplay content.

Resident Evil Village Minor Update Released in February 2026
There’s no new game content included in today’s update, as Capcom states, “Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 have just been updated to add LATAM Spanish voice and Polish display text options. Update your game and find them under Options > Language.”
For those who own the game on Switch, this update won’t be available for you, and there’s no explanation why.
While we’re not expecting any new game updates for Resident Evil Village, things could change given we’re inching closer and closer to the release of Resident Evil Requiem. We’ve seen it happen before where developers add a marketing banner or something in-game to promote the latest game in the franchise, and we wouldn’t put it past Capcom to do something like it.
Speaking of Resident Evil Requiem a new report states that Chris and Ada won’t make an appear in the game.
Resident Evil Requiem will be released on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on February 27, so expect a lot more coverage of the game to hit MP1st. With RE Village finshing Ethan’s story, Requiem will feature a different storyline from the Resident Evil universe, and it’ll even feature a new protagonist in Grace Ashcroft.
