Resident Evil Village Update 1.220 Sneaks Out

While Capcom has already released the PS5 Pro patch for Resident Evil Village last month, a new download is available today — at least on the PS5 version. We can confirm that Resident Evil Village update 1.220 is now live on the PS5 version, and upon our checking, the PS4 version didn’t get an update.

So far, Capcom has not said anything about today’s patch just yet, though we’re not surprised by this. There doesn’t seem to be any gameplay-related changes as well, or this would be rolled out across all platforms.

Most likely, this is a patch that targets PS5 Pro-related issues. We’ve reached out to Capcom and asked what this patch does, and if we get a reply, we’ll update the article to reflect the company’s answer.

RE Village isn’t the only Resident Evil game that got a surprise patch, Resident Evil 4 also got one last week just for the PS5, and Capcom didn’t clarify what was in it.
