Aspyr has released Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered update 1.14 | 1.001.004 on October 6, and this is an unannounced patch, which is surprising to see given how the developers are usually on the ball when it comes to communicating upcoming fixes.
Given we received Challenge Patch 3 in mid-August, I wouldn’t expect much from this title update except fixes.
Since the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered upgrade last week, developer CD Projekt RED has already pushed out a few hotfixes on consoles and PC.
For more info, read on, on what could be Challenge Patch 4.

Some of the known issues that persist even after Challenge Patch 3’s massive changelog include:
Issue
Status / Impact
Wrong/default outfits in regular campaign
Still reported. Lara can appear in the wrong outfit for the level, particularly in TR2. Community reports in June–August still mention this despite Patch 2/3. (Reddit)
Save files disappearing/corrupting
Reported as a remaining concern, although it appears much less widespread than immediately after the Challenge Mode update. Some players specifically reported deleted saves. (Reddit)
TR2 cutscene/model switching to Classic graphics
Still reported. A community report specifically mentions a TR2 cutscene showing Lara in the old graphics when Remastered graphics are enabled. (Reddit)
Broken character animations
Still present. Examples include Lara’s arms/character rig becoming distorted during sliding and mid-air rolls, particularly in TR2/TR3. (Reddit)
Flare lighting flickering on stairs
Still reported. Mainly TR2/TR3 when climbing stairs while holding a flare. (Reddit)
Waterfall transparency/rendering problems
Still reported. Water can look incorrect through/around waterfalls. (Reddit)
Inventory opening unexpectedly
Still reported. The inventory can occasionally reopen unexpectedly, including while playing normally rather than deliberately using a controller shortcut. (Reddit)
Braid/physics issues
Some braid problems have been fixed, but community reports indicate physics problems can still occur. Patch 2 specifically fixed the Photo Mode braid freeze, while other animation/physics oddities remain. (Steam Community)
Challenge Mode crashes/unstable behavior
Still reported. Players have reported occasional crashes in the added Challenge Mode. (Reddit)
Impossible/bugged Challenge Mode challenges
Still reported. At least two challenges were reported as impossible to complete, although these don’t affect the standard campaigns. (Reddit)
TR3 artifact/progression problems
Reported in July. One player reported artifacts obtained during India/Nevada disappearing from the inventory/progression when reaching Crash Site. Other players attributed similar problems to the Challenge Mode integration. (Reddit)
Aside from bug fixes, Challenge Patch 3 introduced the following features:
Brightness Slider: Change the brightness of any level across all 3 games (best results with intended use in HD Graphics Mode).
60 FPS in Classic Graphics Mode: Framerate is now 60 fps in Classic for a seamless gameplay experience on any console.
Pickup Highlight: Key items Lara can pick up are now brighter and more visible in HD Graphics Mode.
There are a ton of bugs fixed across all platforms, and I suggest readers check out the complete changelog.
If Aspyr releases the patch notes, we’ll update the article to reflect it.
It's been 10 years since we last saw Nathan Drake's journey come to an end in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and while developer Naughty Dog is busy with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, the devs are looking to bring back the franchise to steal our hearts once more.
