Modern Warfare 3 Collection 1 for PC Releases on May 8th

Unfortunately for Modern Warfare 3 players on PC, the first content collection appearently didn’t get through QA fast enough to release in April.

Modern Warfare 3’s Collection 1 was released on March 20th for Xbox 360, which gave PS3 and PC players the impression that the content collection would be released a month later on their respective platforms. PS3 users did get Collection 1 on April 19th. However, PC players were kept in the dark about the release date expect for a “coming soon” statement issued on April 12th. And, a few days ago Infinity Ward responded to one disgruntled player, “we haven’t forgotten about our PC community. MW3 PC DLC currently bug fixing in QA and hope to release in next few weeks.”

Earlier this month, we broke the story that one Russian retailer had the DLC listed to release this month. However, Infinity Ward announced on Twitter that the DLC pack will  be available in May. The studio stated, “MW3 PC DLC Content Collection 1 available May 8th on Steam. Includes 4 Maps for MP and Survival Mode and 2 Spec Ops Missions.”

The maps included are:

  • Piazza
  • Liberation
  • Overwatch
  • Black Box

The following Spec Ops missions will be packed in:

  • Negotiator
  • Black Ice

Recently, new achievements were added to Steam for the missions in Collection 1. Also, the update outed two new missions coming in future drops. You can the list of achievements here.
