Black Ops 2 Double XP Now Live, Micro-Transaction Make Their Way to PS3 and PC

In preparation for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC, developers Treyarch are once again hitting that double XP switch and leaving it on for the entire weekend leading up to Uprising’s release.

That means you can earn double XP right now, on either the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 or PC, until this Monday, April 15, at 10am PST.

Lead game design director David Vonderhaar recently announced via Twitter, “we just put up the Nuketown 2025 playlist for 360. PS3 in a few minutes.”

Today also marks the day PlayStation 3 and PC users gain access to the recently introduced micro-transactions. You can purchase a number of in-game aesthetic items like calling cards, weapon skins, and different sight reticles, as well as additional custom class slots.

Don’t forget, Black Ops 2 Uprising releases this Tuesday, April 16, on Xbox Live, later for the PS3 and PC. You can look forward to four brand new maps, as well as one of Treyarch’s most ambitious zombies experience to date.
