$100,000 laid on the line this past weekend for eight of the world’s best Halo eSports teams who competed in Season One of 343 Industries’ first-ever Halo Championship Series.
The successful tournament, hosted by ESL, concluded just yesterday in Boston, Massachusetts during the events of PAX East 2015. Audiences were invited to spectate both in-person and online as teams of four waged war in Halo 2 Anniversary over classic Halo multiplayer maps such as Lockout, Sanctuary, and Warlock.
Nearing the competition’s end, developer 343 Industries announced details for Season Two of the continuing Championship Series, revealing an updated points system and a $25,000 kickoff event at Iron Games Atlanta on April 14. The Series Finale will take place in July with a specific date to be announced at a later time.
But before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let’s take a moment to congratulate Evil Geniuses, the Season One Champions, as well as the seven other teams that placed in last weekend’s tournament. You’ll find the team placings below, as well as a replay of the final day of the Halo Championship Series at PAX East. For the Grand Final, skip to 04:48:33.
