Fallout 76 Down on April 28 to Fix Status Bar Issue
Just a week after releasing a significant update for Fallout 76, Bethesda is taking the game’s servers down today, April 28, across all platforms. Players will also be prompted to download a title update today, and this is to fix a nagging issue that surfaced from last week’s patch.
Same as in past maintenance downtimes, Fallout 76’s servers will be offline for a few hours, which means the entire game will be unavailable.
For the schedule and details on the patch, read on.
Fallout 76 Down on April 28 for New Game Update
Players can expect the servers to be down on April 28 at 10am ET/9am CT/7 am PT/10 pm HKT. While Bethesda hasn’t said how long it’ll last, it’s expected to run from 2-4 hours based on past maintenance downtimes.
Regarding the title update, Bethesda hasn’t shared the patch notes but did mention, “This update will address an issue with the status bar displaying statuses that the player is not currently afflicted with.”
Of course, the status bar bug isn’t the only thing players have issues with the game. Some of the other bugs that need to be squashed include:
- Power Armor helm lamp doesn’t work
- Sniper Rifle scope doesn’t work
- Crashing issues that happen in various instances
- Feed the People enemy bug
- Weapon wheel freezing issue
Of course, the big concern here is whether Bethesda will break something from this update, which has been the case in the last few patches we’ve received. We’re hoping the devs don’t, but based on history, we wouldn’t be surprised if they did.
Expect more details about the patch to be linked out once it’s live.
