Halo: Campaign Evolved Releases July 28, and Yes, It’s Still Hitting PS5
While Gears of War: E-Day is now confirmed to be an XBOX console exclusive, PlayStation gamers will be glad to know that Microsoft hasn’t pulled back on its initial announcement that Halo: Campaign Evolvedd will be coming to PS5.
During the XBOX Games Showcase, Microsoft showcased a gameplay trailer for the remade Halo game, and confirms it’ll be released on July 28 on Xbox Series X|S, PC and PS5.

Halo: Campaign Evolved Brings Master Chief to PS5
The trailer description reads, “Before the events of Halo: Combat Evolved, the Master Chief and Sgt Johnson take part in Operation: Meteorite, in which they infiltrate a mysterious Covenant ship on a clandestine assignment. Experience their fight behind enemy lines in the form of three all-new bonus missions included in Halo: Campaign Evolved.”
Players who pre-order will be able to play it five days early on July 23, 2026.
Will we see new Halo games on PlayStation platforms? Given how the new XBOX CEO is taking things, I wouldn’t expect it to be something that’s a given.
