Battlefield 6 Season 5 Launches Oct. 13, Will Feature Three New Maps
The last major update of the year for Battlefield 6 is almost here, as publisher Electronic Arts has announced that Season 5 kicks off on October 13 — yes, next week!
Alongside the announcement, we have a brand-new trailer showcasing the new maps players, which will be set in Vegas.
Expect a lot more content to round out the year, as EA has confirmed we’ll be receiving three new maps for Season 5, and this will be released alongside new weapons, new features and more.
Battlefield 6 Heads to Vegas on October 13 for Season 5
Per EA: “Throughout Season 5, battle across three new maps, including Vegas Strip and Area 51, from casinos and rooftops to open desert and secret underground tunnels. Expand your arsenal with six new weapons and two new vehicles, take on Operation High Roller, climb the MP Leaderboards, form Platoons, and return to updated Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City.”
Players can expect the following content throughout the season (not released all at once):
- 3 new maps
- 2 reworked maps
- 6 new weapons
- 2 new vehicles
- Server Browser
- Platoons
- #REDSEC: Rapid Royale
- Ranked BR + Open Series
- New Operation
- Halloween event
While EA hasn’t mentioned about the Halloween event, chances are, it’ll tie up the Dead Space franchise thanks to the datamine that was spotted four weeks ago.
Alongside the new content, the big addition here is the server browser, which means players should be able to pick which modes and which maps they want to jump into, and which region. This is something that should have been available from the start, but we are getting it at the very least.
Stay tuned for the Season 5 patch notes, which should be available sometime this week.
Aside from Season 5, EA has confirmed more support is on the way in 2027.
