Halloween: The Game First DLC Slices Out on October 27; Roadmap Revealed
Multiplayer horror fans enjoying hiding (or slicing) in Halloween: The Game, fresh content is making its way out later this month as free DLC has been announced by Illfonic.
Illfonic, alongside co-publisher Gun Interactive and partners Compass International Pictures and Further Front, has partnered with Trancas International Films Inc. and Miramax to license new versions of Michael Myers on October 27. Starting that date, players will be able to purchase the version of Michael from “Halloween 5: The Return of Michael Myers,” and the version of Michael from “Halloween 2018,” which mask design is being supervised by Academy Award winner Christopher Nelson, who sculpted the mask for the recent and highly successful trilogy of “Halloween 2018,” “Halloween Kills,” and “Halloween Ends.”
That’s not all that’s dropping on October 27, as there are also free new content in the form of a new map.
Halloween: The Game Free DLC on October 27 Brings New Map
Inspired by the settings of Halloween 5, the Tower Farm map will be free to all players on October 27. The press release mentions the new setting as “where worn country roads meet at the center of a small, quaint farming community just outside of Haddonfield. A lit filling station anchors the new map, providing Civilians a reference point as they scramble across wide roads and through cornfields. While the map’s open nature helps with navigation, it also creates a no-man’s land where Civilians can become easy prey. Hide in roadside ditches to stay out of sight, then pray for the perfect moment for a harrowing sprint to safety.”
More info about the Farm Tower map: “Farmhouses replace suburban homes, shifting the feel and flow of 1v4 multiplayer matches. Farm equipment, hay bales, and overgrown brush turn every yard into a twisted playground for Michael Myers to attack. Barns, sheds, and houses give Civilians a chance to escape, catch their breath, and have a chance at evading the Boogeyman.
A harvest festival, trailer park, and pumpkin-filled gardens bring the new map to autumnal life, lit by the last light of a setting sun. A basement chase or a sprint through the pumpkin patch can go either way: seek new hiding spots and exits while Michael finds fresh ways to stalk his prey.”
Illfonic will also be introducing two new Civilans, a very special Halloween costume pack, and more. Expect gameplay-related changes and bug fixes to be part of the update as well.

The developers share that this is the first in a series of post-launch content updates planned that will be carried out in the game’s first year.
As you can see, Illfonic plans to release both paid and free content at least once in each seasonal shift.
Given the level of support Ilffonic has shown for Halloween: The Game so far, don’t be surprised to see a few more title updates be released before October 27.
In other news related to movies and games, Sony is said to be the frontrunner for the Battlefield movie, and Michael B. Jordan is said to be attached too.
