Other Updates

The following changes are either base game changes, or changes to previously released DLC content.
  • New skills for six OG Survivors, each with its own new unlock condition
    • Commando: Sabotage (Special)
    • Huntress: Laser Cyclone (Secondary)
    • Acrid: Cloying Breath (Special)
    • Artificer: Tectonic Blast (Utility)
    • Engineer: Laser Cutter (Primary)
    • REX: Proliferation (Utility)
  • Added optional “Karma” system which can make the final confrontation on the moon significantly more challenging.
  • Halcyon Shrine has been rebalanced:
    • Much less likely to spawn on Stage 1 (about 50% of runs will get it.)
    • Now consumes stage spawn credits on Stage 1 (0 → 40. Stage 2+ is still 50.)
    • Siphons gold faster (5 → 7 ticks per second.)
    • Spawns an extra golem (2 → 3.)
    • DLC2 Red items are rarer from the shrine, and all Red items are rarer from the Stage 1 version.
    • Drop tables downgraded on Stage 1.
    • Halcyonite no longer drops gold.
      • Developer Note: Having the Halcyon Shrine spawn so often on early stages led to many runs feeling front-loaded and an unhealthy expectation for Stage 1.
  • Solus Scorchers spawn less often (spawn credit cost increased) and basic Solus enemies (Scorchers, Extractors, Mines) have 50% less armor. Solus Mines no longer damage players when players kill them.
  • Xi Construct AI now sticks closer to players instead of hanging back where melee survivors can’t reach it.
  • Gunner Turrets can now be repaired after they die.
  • Engineer’s Bubble Shield now blocks explosions from outside the shield, including Voidling’s laser. The same fix applies to Operator’s Firewall.
  • Reduced the chance for Titanic Plains and Distant Roost to be picked as Stage 1.
  • Reduced screen shake on Junk Cube, the Moon exploding, Solus Validator, and a few other things.
  • The tar waterfall in Abandoned Aqueduct (and the Simulacrum version) no longer blocks pings, and applies the tar debuff again when you jump through it.
  • Targeting equipment (Recycler, Royal Capacitor, Gnarled Woodsprite, etc.) is more accurate in multiplayer.
  • Updated the Prime Meridian lightning VFX so it’s clearer that it deals damage in a cylinder, not just near the ground.
  • You can now actually hear the audio cue when you land in front of Solus Wing.

Bug Fixes

Survivors

  • Fixed Commando’s Double Tap attack speed being capped lower than intended.
  • Fixed Commando’s Double Tap only firing from one pistol when viewed by other players online.
  • Fixed MUL-T’s Retool putting the first equipment you pick up into a slot you can’t reach without Functional Coupler.
  • Mercenary’s Eviscerate now passes through allies instead of targeting them.
  • Fixed Railgunner’s Magnetic Accelerator not working when Survivors of the Void is disabled.
  • Fixed Drifter’s passive not working when Alloyed Collective is disabled in character select.
  • Fixed a rare issue where Drifter could Repossess herself, no matter how funny it was.
  • Fixed cases of players sometimes not getting teleported back when Drifter throws them off Computational Exchange.
  • Fixed Seeker’s Reprieve and Volcanic Egg getting you out of bounds.
  • Fixed False Son’s Laser of the Father not scaling with attack speed.
  • Fixed False Son’s Lunar Spikes/Stakes not triggering Eclipse Lite when refilled by Laser Burst.
  • False Son’s skill animations blend better and snap less.
  • CHEF’s jump is smoother, and Roll / Boosted Roll no longer do weird-CHEF things when you jump or land mid-skill.
  • Fixed most cases of survivors missing item displays (Commando not showing Charged Perforator, Void Fiend not showing Sticky Bomb, etc.)
  • Fixed Engineer’s turrets not getting Temporary Items.
  • Fixed old saves from the original release blocking the Artificer unlock in the Bazaar Between Time.
  • Fixed Operator crash when using transport drones against stationary enemies.

Bosses & Enemies

  • False Son (boss):
    • Fixed the Prime Meridian boss platform being tied to frame rate during the intro cutscene, and the outer rings sometimes not falling at the right speed between phases.
    • Fixed the Phase 1 dash overshooting when the boss has bonus movement speed (Artifact of Evolution, Eclipse 4+, etc.)
    • Players discovered we made False Son have a 1% crit chance for fun. They discovered it by getting crit too much. It’s 0% now.
    • Fixed the club slam tracking the player too hard. Hitbox timing now lines up with the ground impact and the explosion has damage fall-off.
    • Fixed the Phase 1 dash animation not playing for clients in multiplayer.
    • Replaced the hidden invincibility on False Son’s dash (and the Child’s teleport) with a small armor boost.
    • Fixed the objective tracker not updating for clients in multiplayer on Prime Meridian, including after the False Son fight.
  • Fixed Halcyonite animation cancelling and overlapping its Triple Laser and Whirlwind attacks.
  • Fixed Halcyon Shrines not siphoning gold when too many characters were in range.
  • Fixed Alloy Hunter spamming her mounted laser attack forever when below 50% health on Eclipse 7.
  • Fixed Old Guillotine not working on Solus Heart when it has an Elite affix.
  • Fixed most cases of enemies having missing or misplaced Elite displays (Xi Construct had none, Beetles had two Gilded Crowns clipping into each other.)
  • Fixed Lemurian and Elder Lemurian kill counts not tracking in the Logbook.
  • Fixed Happiest Mask ghost minions not having the correct duration.

Items & Equipment

  • Fixed a potentially infinite proc chain between Runic Lens and ATG Missile Mk. 1. Even though it made for some funny videos, it probably isn’t too healthy.
  • Faraday Spurs charging is no longer tied to frame rate
  • Fixed Neutronium Weight sometimes falling through the ground.
  • Longstanding Solitude turns into a Pearl at level cap, which fixes the Gilded Coast softlock.
  • Fixed cases of gold not resetting to zero after picking up Longstanding Solitude.
  • Fixed some projectiles dealing double damage if they expired mid-flight and exploded.
  • Fixed minor pickups (Elusive Antlers, healing/gold orbs, CHEF’s food, Drifter’s Junk) blocking pings in a much bigger area than they should.

Stages & Interactables

  • Fixed duplicated, floating, or underground spawn nodes on a lot of stages. Also removed some air nodes near the Pillars of Mass on Commencement that let Lunar Wisps spawn inside walls, and fixed some jump nodes on Prime Meridian and Siren’s Call.
  • Fixed bullets and projectiles going through Adaptive Chests, Cleansing Pools, and Shrines of Shaping.
  • Fixed the Deep Void Portal on Void Locus and the Encrypted Portal on Prime Meridian facing the wrong way in multiplayer.
  • Solutional Haunt plays its music again after you beat Solus Wing. #JusticeForMistery

Performance & Stability

  • Fixed a bunch of looping sounds that wouldn’t stop after returning to the main menu.
  • Fixed the “new unlock” highlight showing on survivors you haven’t unlocked in character select.

With this big of a patch, and with the new characters, don’t be surprised to see a follow-up hotfix be pushed out soon.
