Battlefield 2021 Confirmed for Last-Gen and Current-Gen Consoles

battlefield 2021

Contrary to rumors, it looks like Battlefield 2021 will be playable on both last-gen and current-gen consoles! That means, those on PS4 and Xbox One, you’ll be  able to partake in the destruction coming later this year!

This was confirmed by EA during the publisher’s quarterly earnings report. In it, an EA’s CEO, Andrew Wilson confirmed that Battlefield 2021 (no official name yet) will be available for “current” and “next-gen,” since most are referring to the PS5 and Xbox Series X cycle as “next-gen.”

In the same call, EA confirmed that the game will feature “game-changing destruction.”

We’ll have more on Battlefield and EA’s earnings report within the day.

Good for console players as the vast majority will be on previous Gen consoles. Bad for the game overall. Any lofty promises will fall flat. Any chance of big features being implemented are dead.

So sick of all these new AAA titles that keep being released on the last gen consoles. Greedy companies putting out inferior products so they can make more money rather than focus on the new consoles and PC only in order to make a far better game.

Yes its all greed LMFAO you “special” people are sad……Its getting released on last gen consoles because there was this thing called a global pandemic, which has caused shortages in parts for ALL the consoles…Not hard to figure out that publishers are going to look at can we put this on the console that has sold over 100+ million, rather than focus on just the 5-7 million consoles….Jesus Christ just a lack of common sense is why some people have trash minimum wage jobs….

It’s fine. The game is already coming to series s regardless so they might as well bring it to Xbone and even Switch while they are at it.
