Battlefield 2042 After Season 7 Plans Revealed – Events, Vault Drops and Patches
In case you didn’t know, the on-going season of Battlefield 2042 is the last one for the game, though that doesn’t mean DICE is abandoning the shooter. Today, the studio has revealed the Battlefield 2042 after Season 7 plans, which includes more title updates, events and more.
Battlefield 2042 After Season 7 Plans:
Events
Players can expect new and old events to be rolled out for the game. This month, we will see the return of the Leviathan Rising event! DICE has also confirmed new events are on the way with “new ways to play” progression via an “event pass” that will include free and premium tiers, new cosmetics and more. Players can look forward to the first new event playable in Halloween.
Expect more details to be shared about it leading up to the event’s roll out.
Vault Drops
According to DICE, Vault Drops will be “multi-week moments” for players to unlock new content in All-Out Warfare.
Expect Vault Drops to start later this year with a vehicle from Portal. The events will allow players to both try and unlock the new hardware. Depending on the hardware, players can expect it to come with Mastery, Attachments and Universal skins. It will also be released with additional balance changes to ensure it fits All-Out Warfare.
Community Calendar
The studio states that the Community Calendar will continue to receive updates showcasing all the weekly playlists and featured experiences that players can expect in the months ahead. DICE will be evolving it to include details on upcoming game updates, weekly missions, and new cosmetic bundles.
The studio also notes that quality of life updates and patches are part of the plan moving forward.

While it’s clear DICE is moving on from Battlefield 2042, this is still a nice send-off support for the once-troubled shooter. Hopefully, the next Battlefield game doesn’t go through all the hardships this game suffered through before becoming a competent Battlefield game.
For those who completed the Season 7 Battle Pass, you should have gotten a “Commendation Letter” in your registered email. Don’t forget, the Dead Space crossover event is still on-going, and you can read about it here.
