Battlefield 2042 DLSS.dll Updated From 2.2 to 2.5 in Season 5; ” Veteran Pack” Available as Free Assignment Reward

Those on PC. the Battlefield 2042 Season 5 patch that went out yesterday brought in more than just new content and gameplay improvements, as it also made performance a bit better. DICE has announced that the Battlefield 2042 DLSS.dll version has been updated.

Over on the Battlefield Communications official Twitter account, DICE mentioned that they are looking into further version updates in the future.


For those not on PC, DLSS (deep learning super sampling) provides a performance boost and is a “is a neural graphics technology that multiplies performance using AI to create entirely new frames and display higher resolution through image reconstruction—all while delivering best-in-class image quality and responsiveness” according to Nvdia.

DICE has also revealed the “Veteran Kit” that can be unlocked for free just by completing the following assignments:

✅ Play 10 Rounds.
🔫 5 Kills with the ACW-R, P90 or M240B as Irish on Reclaimed.

Note that if you own Battlefield V, Battlefield 1 or Battlefield 4, the free cosmetic pack will instantly be unlocked since, y’know, you’re a Battlefield veteran and all.

As for what’s coming next, DICE has announced that we’ll be getting Season 6 of BF2042! More news about it will be released sometime during Season 5.
