If you’ve somehow managed to boot up Battlefield 2042 amid the “load persistence” errors the game is suffering from with the launch of Season 1: Zero Hour, then you’ll be greeted with the new Battlefield 2042 Season 1 weekly challenges for week 1! This is a big departure from the usual BF2042 weekly challenges and how it dishes out rewards.

Now, the major difference here is, there is no weekly reward (like a weapon skin) tied to completing these challenges, but for now, BF2042 players need 10 points to go from tier to tier of the Battle Pass, and every mission completed gives you some amounts of points to level up. As for the rewards, the tier progression is the reward (which is better or worse depending on your point of view).
While the Battle Pass is active now, there is a slight issue with it currently. With today’s load persistence problems, DICE has announced that the Battle Pass has been temporarily restricted to grant rewards, though any progress made is being counted.
The Battle Pass is now active, but to reduce the number of Data Persistence errors, we've temporarily restricted it from granting unlocks.
You're still earning progression on the Battle Pass, and unlocks will be delivered once we've solved our other issues.

No word on how long the restriction is, but we’re hoping it’ll be resolved ASAP since this isn’t an ideal situation for a game’s debut season launch. If you want to see what the rewards are for the Season 1 Battle Pass, head on over here.
