Battlefield 6 Challenges Getting Drastic Overhaul in Upcoming Updates
The Battlefield Studios have heard players’ complaints about challenges in Battlefield 6. While they’re not ready to roll out changes just yet, they have confirmed they’re being adjusted to make them more “straightforward” and “faster” to complete.
These changes will be arriving across two separate updates and are set to reduce the requirements by a large margin.
Battlefield 6 Challenge Adjustments Will Make Them Much Easier to Finish

One of the biggest complaints about Battlefield 6 are the in-game challenges. While players are okay with difficult challenges that are somewhat hard to get, the problem is that these have been tied to several unlocks, such as weapons, class gadgets, and other gameplay-impacting items. On top of that, some of these challenges required an insane number of specific actions, such as getting 150 sniper headshot kills at 200m. This became such a big problem that many decided to farm them via a bot-hosted Portal Experience, which was recently shut down.
Well, we have some good news for you today, as the Battlefield Studios are making significant adjustments to some of those challenges. This was detailed in today’s Battlefield 6 community update blog post, where the studios outlined upcoming changes. While they didn’t get into all the specifics of all the challenges that are changing, they did list some examples, which you can read up on below.
- We’ve seen all your feedback about the challenges and their criteria, the team’s working on a series of improvements to make challenges more straightforward to understand and faster to complete. Given the scale of challenges, these changes will roll out over at least two updates. Some examples of what we are currently considering are:
- Class Assignment – Assault 1 – Get kills while using the Adrenaline Injector – 30 to 3
- Class Assignment – Engineer Expert 3 – Repair Vehicles in a Match – From 6000 to 1000
- Weapon Assignment – Deadeye 2 – Get headshot kills over 200m with Sniper Rifles – from 150 to 5
- In addition, a later game update will reduce the 200m distance
This should make many in the community much happier. I know as someone who has been trying to get the sniper challenge out of the way, it has certainly turned me into the kind of player that doesn’t play the objective during matches, as I’m forced to camp out near the base to get those kills.
I know some may feel differently about these changes, but I think this is a step in the right direction. It’ll certainly make people less worried about them and more focused on playing the game, which is what Battlefield should be.
But I do hope that the studios consider adding some of those high-criteria challenges for, say, unique camo, playercards —basically cosmetic-only things —so players can keep their “bragging” rights. Either way, these are some good changes coming, and they should be dropping during Season 1 (read the patch notes here), which starts on October 28, 2025. The Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6 is also rumored to be released on the same day.
