Battlefield 6 Custom Search Enabled for Beta Weekend 2; DICE Unveils Stat Summarizer
Battlefield 6 players hoping that DICE was going to enable the server browser during this weekend’s beta test will be saddened to learn that it won’t be the case. However, a new feature will be introduced that promises players a much easier way to matchmake into any mode they want, as well as their favorite maps.
Dubbed “Custom Search,” Battlefield 6 players will soon be able to select their preferred maps and modes for the matchmaking to prioritize.
DICE Is Giving More Matchmaking Options for Battlefield 6

As announced by EA, tomorrow’s Battlefield 6 open beta will introduce some new matchmaking options called “custom search.” As detailed, this feature will allow players to choose from their favorite combinations of maps and modes, which will then change the way the matchmaking operates. If your selections are available, then you’ll be matched into a game with those chosen presets. This does not, however, guarantee that you’ll be put into your search preference, but it does improve the chances of not repeating the same map over and over.
DICE confirmed that this is not the server browser they are currently working on, and it will not be tested this week.
Elsewhere, the studio also confirmed the playlists that will be featured each day of the final Open Beta weekend.

Find Out How You Did During the First Weekend Beta Test
There’s one last surprise before everyone jumps into the open beta tomorrow. While Battlefield 6 keeps various stats in-game, it seems that EA has also been tracking them elsewhere, as players can now view their first weekend player stats. To do so, all you have to do is visit the player stat page for Battlefield 6 (link here), enter your EA ID, and you’ll have a full breakdown of your KD, how many players you killed, your most played class, and other cool details.
It’s not a replacement for say, Battlefield battlelog (no longer available), but it’s better than nothing. We’re hopeful that this will eventually lead to the return of Battlelogs, a highly requested fan feature that has been decommissioned.
Good to see some changes happening ahead of the second test, though we’re anxious to learn more about the server browser, as that would solve nearly all of issues that players have been having with matchmaking. Let’s hope that DICE manages to pull through with it, and that it’s everything we’re hoping for (and more!)
Battlefield 6 launches on October 10, 2025 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
