Call of Duty: Ghosts Free to Play on Steam This Weekend, Double XP Inbound

On top of some heavy discounts, Call of Duty: Ghosts will be free to play this weekend on Steam, served with a dose of Double XP to sweeten the deal.

Spotted by Reddit user Trollin_Thunder, the game’s Steam page highlights a couple of weekend deals for Call of Duty: Ghosts, including sales on the base game and the Digital Hardened Edition. The game will also be free to play for the duration of the weekend.

In addition, a banner indicates a Double XP weekend event, which we presume will apply to all platforms. As of this writing, neither Infinity Ward nor Activision have made an official announcement on the event, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.  Check out the details we have so far below:

If you missed it, the PC version of Call of Duty: Ghosts received a game update last week that added a FOV changer and slightly “nerfed” the Riotshield and C4 combo, among other things. You can check out the details right here.
