Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Leaked Gameplay Reveals Potential Jump Pack Movement

Although Activision previously confirmed that Call of Duty Black Ops 7 wouldn’t feature wall-running or jetpacks, considering it’s a prequel to Black Ops 3, that doesn’t mean the game won’t have any crazy movement.

This was revealed in yet another leak for Call of Duty Black Ops 7, this time an ad, where it looks like players will have the ability to jump insanely high thanks to the use of jump packs.

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Leaked Gameplay Shows What Appears to be Jump Packs, Mechs, and a Giant Man

In what appears to be an early video posting by Activision, an X (formerly Twitter) user has shared a snippet of an ad for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. In it, we can see what we assume is the campaign, whcih shows off snippets of gameplay as well as other things.

While the user mentions the use of Jetpacks, this was previously debunked by Activision (via Charlie Intel), where they mentioned Activision saying the game wouldn’t feature that or any wall-running due to being a prequel to Black Ops 3. They followed up with this, reaffirming this is still the case and that all will be explained tomorrow.

However, if you pay close attention to when the characters jump, you can make out what looks to be some sort of mechanism coming out of their boots. That, and there’s nothing on their backs to suggest that these are, in fact, jetpacks, leading us to believe that Black Ops 7 will feature jump packs of sorts.

Now, since this is a single-player game, we can’t be sure if this mechanic will also be included in the multiplayer modes. Oftentimes, single-player modes will have gameplay mechanics exclusive to them, due to scripted moments and such.

I don’t think it would be out of the norm if Black Ops 7 multiplayer did feature jump packs, though the question is, is this what fans really want? Guess we’ll find out tomorrow, when Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 gets revealed during Gamescom Opening Night.
