Black Ops 1 Update 1.08/1.008 Applies a Slew of Fixes on September 10
While the PS4, PS5 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 received an update today that adds dedicated servers, the same can’t be said for the first Black Ops game.
Iron Galaxy and Activision has released Black Ops 1 update 1.08/1.008, and even if it doesn’t get dedicated servers, there are a lot of fixes applied and it includes improvements to matchmaking and networking issues.

Black Ops PS4, PS5 Update for September 10 Brings Improvements to Matchmaking
Today’s confirmed list of fixes and improvements include:
- Friends list and Blocked list now properly update for all logged in players
- Various stability and UI fixes
- Improved forming regional lobbies to reduce network connection issues
- Added missing time limits to Custom Games
- Added Edit Game Options menu for Split Screen play
- Added ability to edit Pre-Match Timer for LAN Custom Games
- Improved Contracts menu navigation
- Players can now clear Clan Tags by entering an empty tag
- Fixed an issue where changing teams in Private Matches or Combat Training could lead to the player dying and being unable to respawn
This is a solid update and the biggest one to date.
