CDPR: The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Versions Still on Track for Q4 2022

Back in May of this year, CD Projekt RED mentioned that The Witcher 3 next-gen versions (PS5, Xbox Series X|S) are due for release in Q4 2022. Well, here we are just a month away from the quarter with not much news about it, which some might assume that the project’s release has since been pushed back.

Well, we’re here to report that’s not the case, as the studio confirmed that The Witcher 3 for next-gen is still due for Q4 2022! This was revealed by the studio during its most recent H1 2022 earnings presentation. In the audiocast, CDPR said the following:

The main event for us (CDPR) for Q4 will be The Witcher 3 release which has been confirmed to happen by the end of the year in Q4.

You can list to the webcast below (actual start time is at 24:35):

This is definitely good news for those who want to replay The Witcher 3 but with better technical stability and performance. Or better yet, if you haven’t played it at all, I suggest waiting for the next-gen version to be released, as that will surely be the edition that’s the most technically sound (and visually appealing).

In other The Witcher news, CD Projekt RED has confirmed that development in the next Witcher game is in active development, and this will kick off a brand new saga. No word on whether Geralt is returning or not, though.

As for Cyberpunk 2077, CDPR has confirmed yesterday that the recently announced Phantom Liberty expansion will be the only story DLC that’s planned for the game.
