DayZ PS4 & Xbox One Versions Launching 2018, Goals for Update 1.0 Detailed

dayz update 1.08

It’s actually happening! Developer Bohemia Interactive has confirmed DayZ PS4 and Xbox One versions will finally be launching next year. “2018” is all that we’re given, but hey, at least it’s something!

As soon as the PC BETA is headed in a way we like, we’re still committed to bringing DayZ to Xbox, where we have a large community of gamers patiently (very patiently!) waiting for a truly hardcore online survival game. All of that will (and must) happen next year – meaning we’re just about to start what could possibly be the most exciting year for DayZ so far. In short: DayZ will be out of Early Access next year, and we’ll also finally deliver it to console players in 2018.

In addition to the release of the console versions, DayZ is also going to be leaving Early Access. It isn’t certain what features will be in the big 1.0 update, but the developer has provided some “goals.”

As suggested, we want to continue development after 1.0 release, and the list below represents our top priority features to work on after 1.0.

– firing from vehicles

– barricading

– single track vehicles

– bleeding treatment per limb/wound

– area based occurrence of diseases and pollution

– water streams

– different ammunition types in a magazine

It’s been a long while since DayZ released on Steam Early Access, but it’s seen a lot of support and new features added. Are you looking forward to the DayZ PS4 and Xbox One releases? Or is it too little, too late? Let us know.

In other gaming news, Monster Hunter World‘s beta information has been revealed alongside a new intro videoInjustice 2 Gorilla Grodd legendary gear allows players to see opponent’s inputs, and Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris is launching December 5 with these known changes and improvements.
