Dead Island 2 just announced its latest playable character: Jacob, a charismatic stockbroker-turned-stuntman Brit. With the co-op zombie action RPG being delayed to April 28 next year, fans are itching to hear more updates on the game. Jacob was revealed in Dead Island 2’s gamescom 2022 reveal trailer, and we now get a bit of info on who he is and how he plays in-game.
As a Slayer, Jacob comes with two innate skills. His first one, Feral, rewards fast-paced and unrelenting attacks.
Feral: Jacob gets a stackable minor DAMAGE boost when attacking in quick succession.
To complement his all-in playstyle, Jacob’s second skill also makes him do more critical damage when he’s running out of stamina. He also regains some stamina whenever he lands a critical hit.
Critical Gains: Jacob gets a moderate CRITICAL DAMAGE boost while his stamina is low. Critical hits regain STAMINA.
Jacob’s shaping up to be a Slayer that gamers will love for both his poetic quips and brutal melee gameplay.
Dead Island 2 is set for release on April 28 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. You can check out the game’s different editions that will be available at launch right here.
